Parkdale - High Park

Parkdale - High Park
A naturally beautiful, vibrant, and culturally diverse provincial riding in the City of Toronto.

The riding of Parkdale-High Park is located in the west end of Toronto and includes communities such as Bloor West Village, High Park, Humber Valley, the Junction, Parkdale, Swansea and the West Bend. Home to a wide range of cultures, the riding also offers a variety of shopping along Bloor Street West, Roncesvalles Avenue, Queen Street West and Dundas Street West. The riding is predominantly residential with several established neighbourhoods.

Locally, Progressive Conservatives in the riding (and its predecessors) have elected George Drew, the 14th Premier of Ontario; Arthur Maloney, who later became Ontario’s first ombudsman; Yuri Shymko, a secretary-general of the Ukrainian World Congress; and Derwyn Shea an alderman, Metro councillor and chair of the Toronto Planning Board.
